Junior Ilam Fell Race

A day of racing in stunning White Peak countryside for everyone from 6 to 60+! The junior races are incorporated within the FRA English Junior Championship and Challenge Series.

Please note that results will be published for each age category (i.e. U9/11/13/15/17/19's)

• U9's* Race - 0.9km/25m (U9's category)
• U11's & 13's* Race - 1.9km/60m (i.e. one race for all U11's & U13's categories)
• U15' & U17's* Race - 4.7km/160m (i.e. one race for all U15's & U17's categories)
• U19's* Race - 7.2km/350m (please enter Senior Race)

Under FRA rules the permitted ages (based on age at 31/12/21) for each race are as follows:

U9's race (U9's category) - ages 6, 7 & 8 (year of birth 2015, 2014, 2013)
U13's race (U11's & U13's categories) - ages 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12 (year of birth 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009)
U17's race (U15's & U17's categories) - ages 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16 (year of birth 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005)
U19's race (U19's category) - ages 16, 17 & 18 (year of birth 2004, 2003)

Event entry will be pre-entry only; entries will close on the 25th of August. Electronic/scan timing will be used - barcoded race numbers will be issued at registration. NB NO RACE NUMBER = NO START!

Registration: at Ilam Hall, Ashbourne DE6 2AZ.

Parking: there will be dedicated event parking at Ilam Hall. Please follow event signs on the day. 

Equipment: it is expected that competitors will wear/carry appropriate clothing for the conditions at the time of the race as required by current FRA regulations (see website link below). A local weather forecast will be displayed at event registration. 

There will be a post-race prize giving for each race. Hot and cold drinks and home made cake will be supplied at the finish.

Event results will be available online shortly after the event on our fell race webpage and all age categories i.e. U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, U19 will be clearly identifiable for championship purposes.
