GLOSS is a friendly inter-club series of competitions run on the Light Green course, with a handicap scoiring system which favours the less experienced. All courses are open to all-comers, whether beginners or experienced.

SLOW's event will be based at Boston Manor Park with courses extending along the river Brent to Elthorne Park. The location map below is the actual assembly location but parking will be on nearby streets - see the final details at Boston Manor Park event details

An overview of the GLOSS series is available from the coordinating club, London Orienteering Klubb.

We are offering two courses in line with GLOSS guidlelines - A GLOSS course of 4km with an optional extension of 1.5km (actual overall distance run will likely be 25% longer) and a yellow course of around 2km. Start will be from 10:00 to 12:00, although this may be extended depending on entry numbers. There will be two finishes, one for the Yellow course and another for the Gloss and extension courses.

BRITISH ORIENTEERING MEMBERS ONLY. There is no conventional Entry on the Day. However, we will leave the Pre Entry system open until 11:45 on the day of the event so you can pre-enter on the way to the event - the system will only allow entries if sufficient maps and start times are available. There will be one start with one competitor starting on each course each minute.  HOWEVER WE RECOMMEND YOU ENTER EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.

The assembly location is 10 minutes walk from Boston Manor tube station. Although there should be parking available at Boston Manor road itself, competitors are encouraged to travel by public transport.

There will be no results display but results are anticipated to be updated to the results website every few minutes during the event.

If you have a SIAC, please use it rather than an SI card to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.
