The River Hamble Aquathlon starts near the top of the river at Burridge Recreation Ground.
Competitors complete a tide assisted 3.4K swim to Bursledon, where your event bag will be waiting for you with your gear for the running section. Wetsuits/goggles/hats go in the bag and get transported back to the finish at Burridge.
The Aquathlon then has 2 distances of trail run; the 11K race heads down the scenic river path towards Warsash before cutting in to Holly Hill Woodland Park and returning round Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve. The 4K option heads straight back to Burridge round Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve.
All participants receive a bespoke race medal or can choose to support 'trees for tees'.
Course is fully marked and marshaled with electronic timing and full safety/support crew is on hand to assist if necessary.
Wetsuits are compulsory unless you can provide us with evidence of skins experience.
Free parking is provided at the start/finish.
The big question is...…..will the runners catch the swimmers?!
