Middle distance race, part of the Moravian Orienteering Club MTBO Weekend. Saturday afternoon middle distance event held in Altyre, Forres. Three courses lengths to choose from.
Course A: 13km (Open, M/W18 - M/W60)
Course B: 10km (Open, M/W16, M/W70+)
Course C: 6km (Open, M/W10, M/W12, M/W14) (It is advised that U14s are shadowed)
Altyre Estate has a variety of mixed woodlands and intricate network of paths and tracks to challenge your route choise. There are some steep hills in the south of the area and the terrain rises about 100m from the north to the south.
Pre entries only. A MTBO middle distance course. Starts between 15:00 and 16.30 with courses closing at 18.00.
British Mountain Bike Orienteering (BMBO)
This event is registered and insured through BMBO. Anyone is able to participate but if you wish to join BMBO please register at https://www.bmbo.org.uk/.
Adults membership £8/year or you can register as day rider for free. U21 free.
Safety Information
This event is organised by Steve Smirthwaite (BMBO member MTB006289) and members of Moravian Orienteering Club. The club will follow MTBO guidelines but also the more comprehensive guidelines produced by Scottish Orienteering and British Orienteering Federation.
