Mountain/OMM Practical Navigation | Intermediate to Advanced | Follow up to Online MM Navigation

If you have taken part in a Mountain Run Online Mountain/OMM Navigation Session then this is the practical side to all the theory that you learnt online.

** If you haven't taken part in one of our online sessions, then you will need to understand navigation to the point where you:

  • Understand scales, features and have a good understanding of contours
  • Know how to set a bearing correctly and understand the principle of following it.
  • Understand about map orientation and why this is necessary for good navigation
  • Understand the terms; Hand-railing, collecting and catching features, aiming off and attack points [you just need the understanding, we will develop the skills on the course]
