The race starts from King Kong Climbing Walls workshop in Threlkeld Quarry, and climbs up on a flagged route up to Clough Head summit, across to White Pike before descending diagonally back down to the quarry and back to the Kong workshop.

Distance - 4.5 miles (2000ft)

Start - 11am

Specific race instructions to ensure that we adhere to Covid guidelines:

• Please park as directed by our marshalls. Threlkeld Road Management group will be asking for a £1 donation towards the upkeep of the road into the quarry. This is a donation so you do not have to pay it but it would be greatly appreciated by the local community.
• You will be given a registration time to come and collect your number and dibber. Please help everyone by adhering to your registration time as this will limit the runners congregating at race registration. You will collect your race number and dibber which will all have been quarantined for 72 hours before the race to ensure your safety. Hand sanitisers will be available at registration. After registering, you are free to warm up in the quarry area – please keep socially distanced and in groups of no more than 6 people.
• There will be toilets available but you must use the sanitisers available.
• The race will be mass start with everyone spaced 1 metre apart behind the start line and wearing masks. Once the race has started and people have spread at least 2 meters apart, people may take off their masks and continue to race as normal, keeping 2 metres distant from each other at all times. We ask you to line up on the start line according to your speed to ensure limited overtaking on the route. There should be no need for you to touch anything during the race as the gates will be held open for you and all checkpoints use the contactless dibber system.
• Once you have finished the race, we ask you to leave the race finish area promptly and to keep socially distanced in groups of no more than 6 people.
• In order to protect the small local community of Threlkeld Quarry, we ask you to adhere strictly to all of our guidelines and please do not come to our race if you are displaying any symptoms of Corona Virus. We also reserve the right to turn away anyone at registration who is displaying any obvious Corona Virus symptoms.
• Results will be posted online and prizes will either be available for you to collect on the day if you are lucky enough to have won one, or will be available for you to collect in the shop – Kong Running on Heads Road in Keswick.
