The 30th Durham Dales Challenge

A challenge event for walkers and runners in the Durham Moors and Dales. As usual there will be a choice of routes, 50Km and 25Km.
- The 50 Km route goes to Middleton in Teesdale via Hamsterley Forest and returns via Monks Moor, Bollihope and River Wear.
- The 25Km route traverses Pikestone Fell and returns via Bollihope and River Wear.
Start Times: both routes 09.00
Time limits: 12 hours for the 50Km route, and 9 hours for the 25Km route.
Refreshments: will be available at all checkpoints.
Route description: A full route description and a gpx file of the route will be available on the website prior to the event.
Venue: Masonic Hall, Wolsingham DL13 3AN
Parking: To be advised ahead of the event.
Entry Fee: Includes a commemorative T-Shirt.
General Notes:
- We regret no dogs allowed due to nesting birds on the moors.
- All participants should wear or carry whole body waterproof clothing and be appropriately dressed for walking or running in open moorland.
- You must have with you a suitable map e.g OS Explorer Map OL 31 (Electronic versions are acceptable) and a copy of the route description or a GPS navigation device with the route uploaded
