About the Club
Dallam Running Club is based on the South Cumbria-North Lancashire border and attracts members from a fairly wide area around Morecambe Bay including Milnthorpe, Carnforth, Arnside, Silverdale, Grange, Lancaster, Kendal and beyond. Present membership is 100 plus.

We try to cater for all ages and running abilities. While many members compete in road/trail/fell races and endurance events, the social side is also important to us and we include camping weekends, a cross bay run, orienteering evenings and other running related activities in our calendar.

On Wednesday evenings we have our main run for adults, with a 7pm start from a venue that moves around our catchment area from week to week.

You'll find a list of venues on the Calendar which is updated a few weeks ahead. We are usually out for an hour or more depending on conditions.

In the darker months there are normally two groups, one on the tarmac and one off road, while in the lighter evenings most prefer to run off road and perhaps extend the running time especially if we venture further afield into the higher fells.

On Monday evenings there are Junior sessions from 5.50pm to 7pm suitable for seven to sixteen year olds, with the emphasis on fun and fitness rather than formal coaching.

During the spring and summer these are at Heron Hall Playing Field, at Shaw Lane, Storth.

In the autumn and winter the younger age group move into the Sports Hall at Dallam School All Weather Courts, with the older (High School) age group running out from there on the quiet roads ,with adults assisting.

See Junior News for more details including kit requirements for the outdoor runs and Junior Co-ordinator contacts.
