The Souter Lighthouse 10km is a brand new event for 2021 along the beautiful coastline trails. The event will take place on Sunday 31st July as part of the Souter Lighthouse Summer Running Festival. All finishing runners will receive a medal.
RACE DATE – Saturday 31st July 2021 from 10am.
The Souter Lighthouse 10km course is 1 full lap set on coastal trail paths & footpaths.
There will be a starting window from 10am-11am in which runners can make their way to the start line and set off on their own or in small groups on the fully marked & marshalled course.
8.30am Car Park & Registration Opens
10am-11am Start Window
12pm - We do not have a strict cut off time and all runners can complete the course, but we would encourage runners to complete their run by 12pm
Number Collection - On the day from 9am
Race HQ – Souter Lighthouse, postcode SR67NH
Footwear – Road & trail shoes are both suitable for the course. If very wet we would advise trail shoes.
Headphones – permitted as long as you can also listen out for instructions from marshalls & race organisers at all times.
Drinks - To limit contact with others, runners must bring their own drinks and be responsible for their own hydration throughout the race. Water will be available at the finish line.
UKA Athletics rules - licensed with Trail Running Association
Car parking – Available at Souter Lighthouse site on the field to the North of the Lighthouse. There will be a £3 charge for parking set by The National Trust. Free for national trust members. Please Car Share where possible.
