The South Shields 10 Mile Race will return for it’s 5th year in 2021 along the beautiful coastal views of South Shields. The course starts at Souter Lighthouse, heading North along the beautiful South Shields coastline and completing 2 laps of the Leas. All finishing runners will receive a medal.
Look out for beautiful views of Marsden Rock, Frenchman's Bay, Sandhaven Beach & of course Souter Lighthouse!
The previous course has been amended from previous years to allow for social distancing but we believe the route is a much more enjoyable (and quicker) course. Thank you for your support of our local race!
RACE DATE – Sunday 1st August 2021
There will be a starting window from 8.30am-9.30am in which runners can make their way to the start line and set off on their own or in groups on the fully marked and marshalled course. (We would advise the stronger and more serious club runners to start as early as possible to get a clearer run of the course with less overtaking)
The hugely popular South Shields 10 is a fantastic challenge on multi terrain, including trails, grass and coastal paths.
