The Three Circles of Machen provides entrants with a range of options to enjoy the scenic beauty of South Wales' eastern valleys.
Three different circular routes of 8, 10 and 12 miles offer a choice of seven different combinations ranging from 8 to 30 miles.
The 8 mile (northern) loop uses part of the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway path en route to Mynydd Machen. The 10 mile (eastern) loop mainly follows the Rhymney River Circular path, while the 12 mile (western) loop visits Rudry Common, Graig Lysfaen and Ruperra Castle.
Tea and toast at start. Refreshments during and hot food at end - Covid-19 regulations permitting .
Location of Event - Machen Village Hall, The Crescent, Machen, CF83 8ND. Grid Reference ST209890.
Registration and Start – Registration from 7am. Entrants may start at any time between 07:30-09:00 (longer routes, 20 miles and above) and 9:00-10:00 am (shorter routes).
Time Limit – All to finish by 8pm.
