Now in our 6th year, the Ranger Ultras, Yorkshire 3 Peaks Ultra is the original ultra-distance version of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge. It remains one of our most popular events and a great day of trail running. Read on for our excellent value 'extra' course bonus...

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Ultra is an adventure for all ultra-racers, from first timers all the way to elite athletes. The route runs through superb and inspiring North Yorkshire scenery over classic limestone trails. Racers' reviews of race include "The best ultra I've ever raced"   "A instant classic"   "Fantastic experience"   "A gem of a race"

Start and finish is at the Hawes Market House and follows in the footsteps of Roman Legions over the Cam Road before taking the Yorkshire three peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent, returning along the Cam Road. Total distance 70 Km. Total Ascent 2185 metres.

If you complete the 70km by midnight on Saturday (15 hours elapsed race time) you have the option to continue onto the +30km (+984metres total ascent) section for free. From Hawes, over Great Shunner Fell, to Thwaite and back to Hawes. Making a total of 100km. Runners have until 09:00 Sunday (24 hours elapsed race time) to complete with a Grand Slam qualifying time. The 100km Yorkshire 3 Peaks Ultra counts towards to Ranger Ultras 2022 Grand Slam Series.
