This is an LDWA Anytime Challenge event and only available to LDWA members. Entrants can complete at a time of their choosing anytime up to the 28th March 2021- subject to the Government’s COVID-19 restrictions and guidance at the time. The event is entirely unsupported. Once entered you will be sent a link to download a route description and GPX file. Entrants who complete the event can Edit their Entry in SiEntries and input the date completed and time taken. A finisher's certificate will then be produced and emailed to them. The times of all finishers will be on the Essex and Herts LDWA website.
Route:
A distance of 25.7 miles starting from the War Memorial on Chapel Hill Stansted Mountfichet, this is a challenging scenic route with 1900 ft of ascent, on bridleways and footpaths in and above the valleys of the Stort, Ash, and Rib. The route is covered by O.S. Explorer 194 and 195.
There are car parks (which are free on Sundays) at either end of Chapel Hill, 200yds and 300yds from the start (unfortunately no toilets).

Route description/GPX file. You are advised to bring: O.S Explorer 194 and 195 or GPX device; torch; adequate clothing and footwear; sufficient food and drink; small first aid kit; and a charged mobile phone.
