To get a waiting list entry just enter as normal. No payment is required at this stage as there is no guarantee of being offered a place. If the Event Organiser is able to offer you a place they will send you an email inviting you to enter. You will then be asked to come back to this site and make your payment to confirm your entry. Update: 18/10/21 - The event is now full and it is waiting list only. We have already sold more entries than we can manage on day in knowledge there will be deferrals and 'no shows'. The final day for deferrals is end of January 2022. Therefore, if higher number of deferrals than expected then it is possible that a small number of places will be released. Invites would be sent first week of February 2022 in strict waiting list order.  Please no enquiries as we will not know until this date as most deferrals happen on/around deadline.

  •  Event has been going for around 50 years and has evolved from a walking event into a very popular ultra marathon
  • Remote route around some wonderful countryside and not to be undertaken lightly
  • Full FRA mandatory kit required along with minimum 500ml water carrying capacity (no cups provided at feed stations), foil blanket or bivvy bag and an additional long sleeved thermal base layer which is not to be worn at race start.
  • There will be marked waterproof race maps available at registration for £2 each if you do not have own map.
  • Sportident timing chips will be used for the first time in 2022 and your results will be uploaded as you finish. 
  • There will be strict race cut offs  based on the event finishing by 6pm. Race starts at 8am but early starts available from 7am onwards as long as you do not pass first feed station prior to its official opening time
  • Hot and cold drinks available pre/post race. Hot food at finish for all competitors. All included within price.
  • 5 well stocked feed stations including the famous Hobble hot dogs and jammy doughnuts. 
  • FRA members now get a substantial discount for entering - please consider joining the Fell Runners Association via SiEntries website. 
  • Specially designed 2022 race T-shirt available for £7 (select when entering race)

Event Cancellation, Substitutions & Deferrals

a) If the event is cancelled for any reason then you will be offered either your money back (less minor SiEntries booking fee) or free deferral to Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon 2022 or Haworth Hobble 2023.

b) If you wish to defer for any reason then we will allow deferral if you notify event organiser by email prior to 23:59 on 31/01/2022. The deferral can be to either Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon 2022 or Haworth Hobble 2023. After this point, no deferrals will be allowed under any circumstances.

c) If you are unable to compete but you have found a substitute, then you may edit your own entry as substitutes will be permitted to 23:59 on 28/02/2022. You do not need to advise the organiser.
