To get a pre-selection list entry just enter as normal. No payment is required at this stage as there is no guarantee of being offered a place. If the Event Organiser is able to offer you a place they will send you an email inviting you to enter. You will then be asked to come back to this site and make your payment to confirm your entry. As a result of ongoing Covid related issues we are in the process of rescheduling Trigger Fell race 2021. Our new target date is Sunday 7th February 2021.

We have reached a situation where the original date is no longer possible but we are still doing all we can to make the event happen. Please pencil the new date in your diary and we will keep you informed. We will continue to hold your entry on the pre selection list until we are able to confirm the new date. No payment has yet been requested for any runner. We will do that when we have confirmed race and date. If the 7th is not viable we will look at the remaining Sundays in February as options.

The Trigger Race will run for the tenth time on Sunday 10th January 2021. Entrants will navigate their way from Marsden over Black Hill, Bleaklow and Kinder to Edale visiting three trig points on route. The linear route is measured at 24 miles with 1650m climb. All profits of the race will go to Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team. In 2020 we raised over £5800 for the team.

Entries will be vetted for fell running and navigation experience. Please let us know if you have run this race before and what year or what other experience you have of long fell races or navigation.

Note the additional kit requirements for this event http://www.marsdentoedale.co.uk/details.htm  A full kit check will take place. No kit, no race.

To make the race Covid secure we will need to implement a staggered start in groups of 6. We need to know your expected race time to set up these groups. Groups plus registration and start times will be allocated after entries have closed. You will be informed of your allocated regstration and start time by email a week before the event. The first group will be off at 08:00 the rest will follow at 3 minute intervals.

No transport is provided. Runners must make their own way to the start and away from the finish.
