OK Nuts Trophy Championships 2021

South London Orienteers are offering a Level C Regional Event hosting the OK Nuts Trophy Championships 2021. Like our event in September 2020, we will be operating within government and British orienteering COVID safe orienteering guidelines.
It is really important that we are seen to take the protocols seriously, before, during and after racing so please read and abide by the COVID-19 Code of Conduct (available from the British Orienteering website)
British orienteering members only – in order to preserve social distancing this event is not suitable for complete beginners to the sport. Please see our permanent courses which are suitable for beginners.- https://slow.org.uk/about/poc/
Parking is in the Peaslake Village Recreation Grounds which will also be the location of download and SIAC Hire.
Starts and Finish will be a maximum of 20 minutes walk from the car park and will be near each other. There will be two starts with a maximum of 2 competitors starting from each start per minute with a few spare slots in every 15 minute block for helpers and late arrivals. The number of starters per 15 minutes are restricted by combinations of courses to give the maximum flexibility. All competitors will choose a 15 minute start block when entering. The Start Time range is from 10:00 to 13:00. ENTER EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.
We will operate a Waiting List system if a course hits capacity. Therefore, if you enter and cannot come to the event, please email us so we can free up the entry for someone else.
If you have a SIAC, please use it rather than an SI card to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
If you would like to run in the age class competition please choose the age class you want to run, not the colour – you are free to run up if you wish but you must select the specific age class you wish to run for to be competitve in the OK Nuts Trophy Championships. If you wish to run a colour that you are not eligible to run under the age class system please select the colour and “Other” category – e.g. “Green Other” if you wish to Green but are not eligible to run in any of the allocated age classes. All results will be driven off the age class you enter for OK Nuts Trophy.
Dogs: Well behaved dogs permitted in the parking field on a lead.
Update on 4 May 2021 - we have been able to reorganise allocations across every course to free up time slots in most Age Classes. If an Age Class you would like to enter is not available, please email equipment@slow.org.uk and we may be able to free up an additional entry in the desired class.
