The Glen Ogle 33 is the perfect end of year race for ultra runners, whether you’re a newcomer to the distance or are a seasoned (jaded) veteran. The race starts and finishes in Killin and takes in the famous Glen Ogle viaduct. The race itself is somewhere between 31 and 33 miles long depending on numerous factors. One year, with your help and a tail wind, we’re sure we’ll hit that magic 33 mile mark. Who knows, it might even be this year.

We’ll provide a cracking route with some braw scenery, water at checkpoints and lots of cheery helpers to encourage you on your way and look after you. The route will be fully marked and before you ask, yes, road shoes will be just fine.

You can give us a bag of your favourite food and drink at the start and we’ll have it waiting for you at the halfway point. Or you could go all retro and just carry what you need for the whole race on your back.

The main thing is that bring your sense of humour and your best race face. In return you’ll be rewarded with a fun day out, meet some like-minded humans and some good times.

When you finish the race, you’ll get what all runners get…. our hearty congratulations, followed by a medal, a goody bag with some race mementoes and then you’ll be ushered in to the hall where you can buy a hot drink and some of the most amazing home baked cakes, all in the name of charity.

Everyone who takes part gets a race t-shirt, so please select your size when you enter. The ladies garments are a female-cut.

Note: (Due Covid 19 we are unsure if the ceilidh will go ahead this year but will keep you posted)

After you’ve shared your war stories, hobbled back to your accommodation, you’ll have enough time to have a shower and get your dancing shoes on for the Rocket Events ceilidh held in the village hall. There will be a live band, charity raffle and hot refreshments. Tickets are £5 each, you can buy them when you enter and all money from the ticket sales, raffle and also the hot food and cakes sold post-race will go to the local Cancer Research UK Fundraising Group.

If you have any questions, please ask before entering the race! And remember, the race won’t sell out as quickly as you think or you’ve been told by experts on Facebook.
