The ‘5 Rivers Challenge’ is a new self-navigating trail running event, with 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon options. All routes start and finish at Allenburys' Club, located in the historical town of Ware, Hertfordshire. Participants follow a set of written directions (GPX files available). Depending on distance chosen, runners will visit the following rivers: Rib, Beane, Mimram, Lea & Ash.
We welcome runners and walkers! Marathon runners/walkers: we apply a 7-hour cut-off, or 8-hours, for those opting for the 'early bird'* 8:00 am start.
What's included in the entry price? Custom Medal for all Finishers, Re-usable lightweight 'softcup', Free Parking, Bag Drop (in Allenburys' Sports hall), Changing Rooms, Lockers & Hot Showers!, Free Hot Drinks and Cake for all participants!, Fully-Licenced Bar and Food available (from mid-day). We also offer an optional commemorative 'technical' fibre T-shirt (£12 - cost price).
