The Hardmoors 160 ‘The Ring Of Steele’ Ultramarathon will start at Sutton Bank and head east along the Cleveland Way to Helmsley. Leaving Helmsley the route will continue east across the moors following  the Tabular Hills Route to Scalby and the Clifftops of the Cleveland Way to pick up the  Hardmoors 110 route and follow a further 100 miles of this route to the race finish at Helmsley. The Hardmoors 160 as the name suggests will be a 160 mile single stage Ultra with over 7000 metres of ascent. Competitors will have 50hrs to complete the race.

The Hardmoors 160 will be held on Friday 28th May (1700)  until Sunday 30th May 2021

The 2020 Hardmoors 160 holds 4 old points and 6 new points to UTMB qualification.

All competitors must have completed a single stage race/challenge event of a minimum of 60 trail miles to be able to enter the Hardmoors 160. Information provided will be checked up on.

Race Limit: 60 competitors

ALL COMPETITORS IN THE 2021 EDITION MUST BE SUPPORTED* (NO UNSUPPORTED RUNNERS)

* Supported = A minimum of 1 driver plus vehicle to provide car support throughout the full duration of the race. Runners are allowed to share support. (Realistically a support team should be a minimum of 2 or more)

Registration for the Hardmoors 160 will open from 1500hrs until 1630hrs Friday 29th May at Sutton Bank Visitor Centre

Trackers

All Hardmoors 160 competitors will receive a Tracker (included in the 160 Race Entry fee)
Trackers will give out competitors' locations at any time online. This is a huge bonus for safety reasons and handy for race crews to detect where their runners are on the route and when to 'brew up' ready for their arrival.
