Would you like to get into open water swimming? If the answer is YES then this course is for you! SwimWild’s Introduction to Open Water Swimming course is a great way to start your outdoor swimming journey. With small groups and friendly, experienced coaches we make it easy for you to get into the water and start loch swimming!
Location: Loch Morlich Watersports Centre, nr. Aviemore
Start time: 2pm
Duration: The course will run for 2.5 hours, finishing with soup and a hot drink in the Boathouse Cafe.
Who is this course for?
SwimWild's Introduction to Open Water Swimming course is suitable for complete beginners who are making the transition from the pool to outdoor swimming, as well as open water swimmers who want to gain confidence or refresh their skills. Whether you’ve just entered your first swim event or triathlon or simply want to try wild swimming for fun, this course is for you. *Wetsuits are optional*
What is included?
The Introduction to Open Water Swimming course includes both dry land and in-water sessions.
Please note that wetsuits hire is NOT included.
Coaches
Alice Goodridge and Sarah Wiseman are both ASA Level 2 swimming teachers and STA/ ASA Level 2 Open Water Swimming Coaches with years of experience teaching and coaching swimmers of all ages and abilities in the pool and in open water. Alice and Sarah are both accomplished long-distance swimmers, having completed numerous solo and relay swims between them. They both qualified Beach Lifeguards (RLSS NVBLQ) and hold up to date Outdoor First Aid certificates.
