New race for 2020! We are delighted to be working with Norfolk Archaeological Trust to bring this fantastic route around Caistor Roman Town. You have a choice of distance, opting either for 10km or 5km.
The name, and the design of the medal (to be revealed shortly), links into the historical nature of Caistor Roman Town, near Norwich. Known by the Romans as ‘the market of the Iceni' (Venta Icenorum) ', the Roman fortifications can be seen in several places.
We bring you a stunning route around the open countryside surrounding the site of the Roman Town, for some of the way you will follow the river Tas as it meanders its way along the valley. There is a small climb but the reward is stunning views of the whole area. The 5km is a single loop and two for the 10km.
The route is all trail and will be marked and marshalled throughout.
Runners of all abilities welcome including complete beginners.
The event will be limited to 500 runners.
