This seminar is aimed at all levels of triathlete, whether you're a complete novice or are a seasoned veteran, it will cover many different areas of the sport, some of which you may be familiar with and some you may not.

When: 0900 - 1230 on Saturday 8th February 2020.

Where: St Peters Pavilion, Hurst St, Hindley, Wigan WN2 3DN

I have put this session together because, all too often, I see people arrive at events with little experience, who then make mistakes and, although great to learn from, often go through their triathlon "career" with very little guidance, or hanging on every word that their peers say. On the flip side of that, I see triathletes who have been racing for a number of years, but they're not reaching anywhere near their potential and I believe that a few small changes and some education can lead to big improvements.

The purpose of this seminar is to look at many different areas of triathlon and to give you some of the tools needed that will help you to look at some of the broader aspects of training and racing in triathlon/duathlon, that will hopefully help you progress in the sport. Through this seminar I hope to offer a different perspective to one that you may be used to and one that may prove beneficial to you and allow the gains to be made.

Areas that will be covered during this seminar will be:

  • Basic bike maintenance
  • How to structure your training plan and getting the most out of it
  • Goal setting
  • The importance of recovery
  • Mental strength and resilience and how it can help you
  • Anti doping awareness
  • What having a coach can do for your performance
  • Presentation by OTE Sports Nutrition, discussing race day nutrition planning

In addition to the above, there will also be a percentage of the entry fees donated to the Pancreatic Cancer UK Charity.
