Here are special instructions for races held during hte Coronavirus Pandemic.

Social Distancing Government advice has recently changed, and this will be reduced to one metre on Race Day. Please observe this at all times, especially around the start/finish car park, but also whilst running, please do not run in groups of 3 or more.

Registration: There is no registration, please DO NOT arrive more than 20 minutes before your start time. Upon arrival please report to the event car – Black Mitsubishi Outlander PO07UNK. You will collect your tracker, which will already be switched on. Please place it on the shoulder strap of your pack facing upwards, the Live event tracker page will be sent to you a day or two before the race so that friends and family can follow your progress.

Start Times: Each competitor will set of at 2 minute intervals. Details can be found here

Please note you need to supply a request by Monday 3rd August.

A final instruction email will be sent out to all entrants on the 3rd August. In the meantime updates and discussions can be found here...

Kit Check: You are strongly recommended to carry the following as a minimum, especially as a lot of time will be spent in remote areas on Ilkley Moor and Beamsley Beacon (and other locations) but due to Coronavirus, this will not be checked. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are properly equipped for running on remote moors.

Drop Bag: 54 mile course ONLY You may leave a drop bag in the boot of the event car IT MUST BE NO BIGGER THAN A CARRIER BAG it will be transferred to the Scar House Reservoir Checkpoint. After you have passed through Scar House reservoir, we will then attempt to get it back to the finish before you get there.

Checkpoints: Will be stocked with 2 x 500ml bottles of water per runner. Packs or crisps, mini cheddars, Nakd bars, Trek Bars and Brunch Bars etc will be supplied wrapped for hygiene, and there will be hand sanitiser available. At the Addingham Checkpoint there will be no food, but you may provide us with a drop bag with your own food in.

Please close all gates behind you unless there is a runner immediately behind you, there may livestock in some of the fields. Please also try to use clothing/gloves when opening and closing gates to limit the possible spread of Coronavirus.

Livestock: You will encounter some livestock, please be respectful of it and consider walking when near, do not go between cows and their calves.

Roads: Some of the course is on public roads, please ensure you are running on the side of the road facing the oncoming traffic where possible, and take extreme caution when crossing busy roads.

Route:  A .gpx file is provided on Facebook, Due to Coronavirus no routes will be taped, although the route is well waymarked with signs for the Nidderdale Way a final instruction sheet sent out a week or so before the event will highlight exactly where there checkpoints are as some may not be exactly on the route. All runners are provided with live trackers so you can check your location if unsure or ring the race director on 07950008005.

Support: You may provide your own support en route, but please park sensibly and avoid the official checkpoints Night runners on the 82 mile and 108 mile courses may also use a support (safety) runner (but they should not carry your kit). Any support runner is not part of the race and they themselves will not receive race support, medals, T-Shirts etc.

Retiring: If you need to retire, please try to arrange your own return to the finish if possible so that you can return your tracker, if you cannot, please try to get to a checkpoint where we will get someone to pick you up and return you to the finish. In any case you must return your tracker to the finish.

Please note there are four separate races. You may drop down a distance on the day, but will not be eligible for trophies if you do so (you will still get a medal, T-Shirt and points for finishing)
