Our final running of the BIF 50 ultra marathon will now start and finish at Rampside Village Hall and begin with visiting Roa Island before turning around and following the Old Line footbath towards Barrow Town Centre. The course then goes around Barrow Island and over on to Walney Island where we follow the England Coastal Path towards the south end of walney.

From there we pick up the coastal path on the west side of walney and follow it northwards to the north end of walney. Passing through the village of North Scale, the run heads back along the promenade, crosses Walney bridge and follows the channelside footpath again heading north.

The course then heads over to the town of Dalton, via the local brick works and takes in a mini tour of the town before heading back towards Barrow.  The route heads up towards and around How Tunn woods where runners are granted a great view of the Furness area and then we make our way to the local landmark of Furness Abbey.

Runners will pass the ruins of Furness Abbey and then the route goes alongside the Red River and heads out back towards the Old Line Footpath.  From here, runners make their way back towards Rampside Village Hall and take a sepeare route to that which runners started on via a grassy trail to end the course on.

The event starts at 6am and will have a cut-off time of 15 hours.

Race registration will open at 5am.

There will be a mandatory race briefing at 5.45m.

All finishers will receive a bespoke BIF 50 medal and technical t-shirt.

Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Male & Female finishers.
