As part of the annual, week long Church Stretton Walking Festival - www.churchstrettonwalkingfestival.co.uk , the 2020 Mynd Drover features three routes, including a 26 mile, hilly and exceptionally scenic, challenge walk/run with 4,750 feet of ascent. Shorter options include a 20 mile route with 3,550 feet of ascent and a 13 mile route with 2,350 feet of ascent.
Each self-guided route will take walkers and runners to the more remote corners of the beautiful Longmynd range, along some of the less used, ancient, sunken lanes and drover’s tracks, through spectacular south Shropshire landscape.
It is possble to change your preferred distance either on the day or online beforehand.
Water and snacks will be provided at checkpoints enroute and a meal with hot and cold drinks at the finish.
Route details and GPX files will be provided to entrants in the week before.
The event starts and finishes at Church Stretton School where free parking is available.
Start times: 8am walkers, 9am runners.
Participants must read event rules for further details.
This is a popular event which sold out last year therefore we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
