Beat the Black Dog Charity Race is in aid of the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust
A Runner with a Black Dog will set off prior to the main group. The main group will then catch the black dog and beat it back across the finish.
A 10km trail run open to trail runners and canicrossers, and will take place in the beautiful Ogmore Valley, Bridgend, to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day on 10th September.
Starting from the Ogmore Valley Life Centre, runners head through the village and up into one of the side trails, running through two small streams and heading up into the hills. Running along the hillside towards Nantymoel, the route takes in the views of the villages and surrounding scenery before heading down into Nantymoel itself. The final stretch follows the old mining railway route, past the rugby pitch before following the river back to the Ogmore Valley Life Centre and beating the Black dog back in.
