31st Tinto Twin Night Event 2019

Carmichael Estate, Saturday 9 March 2019

This year’s night event will take place at Carmichael Estate with the event centre being Carmichael Village Hall (ML12 6PG), where car parking and toilets will be available. Please do not approach the event centre via the Estate road, but follow the road signs for Carmichael village. The area is sheep grazed exposed open hill, with contour and small rock features and some woodland on longer courses. The map is upgraded in 2019 and this particular part of the estate has not been used since 1997. Scale is at 1:10000 with 5 metre contours. Start and finish will be a 10-15 minute walk from the village hall. After your night run, soup will be served in the hall. Compete at both the night and day events to be eligible for the Tinto Twin trophies available for age classes 14+.

Start times: 1900-1930 hours with courses closing at 2130 hours

Courses: 
Course 1 - 5 km - M18, M20, M21, M35 

Course 2 - 4.2 km - M40, M21S, W18, W20, W21, W35

Course 3 - 3.2 km - M45-60, W40-50, W21S

Course 4 - 2.8 km - M16, M65-70, W55-65

Course 5 - 2.0 km - M14, M75-80, W14-16, W70+

When entering please enter by your Age Class. If you want to run in a course other than the one suggested for your Age Class, please use the Open class option. By doing so you will not be eligible for a Tinto Twin Trophy.

 

 

31st Tinto Twin Day Event 2019

Carmichael Estate - Sunday 10 March 2019

Parking, registration and toilets will be at the Carmichael Visitor Centre which lies on the A73 Lanark to Biggar Road.The start will be a short walk from the Visitor Centre. The terrain is mixed estate land with some mixed woodland and moor on Carmichael Hill. Longer courses which go onto Carmichael Hill could be more exposed if the weather is bad on the day. After the event, join Tinto at the Event Centre for a snack lunch to help us celebrate our 31st Tinto Twin. 

Start times: 1100-1200 hours with courses closing at 1400 hours

Course 1 - 7.2 km -  M18, M20, M21, M35

Course 2 - 6.2 km - M40, M21S, W18, W21, W20, W35

Course 3 - 5.3 km - M45-60, W40-50, W21S

Course 4 - 4.3 km - M65-70, M16, W55-65

Course 5 - 3.0 km - M14, M75+, W14, W16, W70+

Course MW10-12 TryIt - 2.1 km - M/W12 M/W10

When entering please enter by your Age Class. If you wish to run on a course other than the one suggested for your Age Class, please use the Open Class option.
