Perthshire-based charities Highland Perthshire Cycling (HPC) and The Coupar Angus Cycling Hub have run Scotland's only all female road cycling event for the past few years and due to it's huge success we have decided to run it as a series in 2019. Part 1 will be held in Coupar Angus and Part 2 will be held in Highland Perthshire.

This means more ladies cycling, more chances to explore new roads and routes and of course sample more of Perthshires finest home baking at our incredible food stops.

Highland Perthshire Cycling are proud to present

Part 2 of Belles & Buns 2019 !

The well loved format of the ladies only event with 3 route options and amazing cake and refreshment stops will take place on Sunday 1st September 2019. Early bird entries are now open for a limited time. This is a female event focusing on what most women love – being with friends, getting some exercise (not too competitive) and eating cake! The cycling is through Highland Perthshire on beautiful, quiet roads with a mixture of gradients to suit all abilities.

All of these routes are new for 2019 and are designed so that there is something for all abilities.  UPDATE - routes distances are now updated to reflect more accurate distances.

Short (approx 13.7 miles) : To encourage people new to cycling events to give it a try, see others get back onto a bike after a while off and for those after a relaxing ride with some ups and downs along with stunning scenery and quiet roads. Cake and refreshments at the end. This route will include a bus back to the start for you and your bike, feel free to have another pick up partner but do let us know if you don't require the bus.

Medium (approx 40 miles) : A bit more of a challenge but with lots of time to complete you can enjoy the extra miles at a steady and sociable pace. The medium route will also take in some stunning scenery with a beautiful loop of a loch.  No bus back required.

Long (approx 57.3 miles) : This route takes in the beautiful loch of the shorter routes but also includes some wild feeling scenery and a challenging climb to tackle.  A steep climb near the end so save some energy for that one!  It's then a roll back down into Pitlochry and the finish line.  This breathtaking route is one not to be missed! There will be a feed station at the furtherest away point to fuel up and give you a taste of the cakes to come back to at the finish.

All routes will start and finish in Pitlochry with more emphasis on a fun social with cakes and refreshments after you finish, so you can completely relax knowing that you have earned your cakes!
