Learn how to fix your bike out on the trail, set your suspension up and put these skills into practice on an off-road ride in the beautiful North York Moors. Oh and eat cake!

Bike Hire and on-site bunk style B+B accommodation available, full cafe facilities, bike shop and workshop also on site.

A fun relaxed day learning useful mountain biking mechanical skills relevant to your own bike, covering potential issues you encounter whilst out cycling.  Also, to give you an understanding of how your bike’s suspension fork and rear shock work.    Through a morning 2 ½ hour classroom theory-based session, covering key areas of the bike that may require mechanical attention during a ride. Also discussing the purpose and setting up of modern mountain bike suspension. Followed by an afternoon guided ride of approx. 10 - 14 miles in the beautiful Fryupdale area of the North Yorkshire Moors, including some scenarios to put into practice the subjects covered.

This course will be ideal for anyone over the age of 14 who is interested in learning mechanical skills and wants to get the best out of their bike’s suspension. If you have a mountain bike and would like to know how to tackle potential issues you may encounter whilst out riding and also keep your bike set up between more major servicing.

Hot coffee/tea and a slice of our award-winning cake through the morning will be provided, as well as lunch from a set menu.
