Start/finish at Burbage Institute, Buxton GR SK044729.  Free parking off Bishops Lane SK 043731.

Long & short routes - The routes are attractive but challenging through the western Peak District including Solomon's Temple, Axe Edge, Goyt Valley, Shining Tor, Lamaload Reservoir, Kettleshulme, Taxal Moor and Fernilee Dam on the long course, with a total ascent of 4000ft. The route is mostly on tracks and footpaths and includes some moorland sections. The short course also goes to Solomon's Temple, Axe Edge and the Goyt Valley and returns via Fernilee Dam to Buxton, with 2000ft of ascent.  Start at 8am for walkers, 9am for runners.

We welcome under 18s on the event but they must be accompanied by an adult. By submitting an entry for anyone under 18 you accept the responsibility for this.

A written route description, GPX file and Wainwright-style maps are available on the web site. Refreshments at checkpoints and a hot meal at the finish. Note that we cater for omnivores and vegetarians only (not vegan, gluten-free etc.). Certificates to all finishers.
