A weekend of Orienteering in Moray – The Moray MEGA Mix weekend. SOUL in Forres on the Saturday and the SOL in Roseisle on Sunday. Two great locations. One MEGA weekend from Moravian.

Saturday: Event 9 of the Scottish Orienteering Urban League
The event will take place from Grant Park, Forres.  This area was previously used for the World Orienteering Championship Sprint Finals in 2015. The event centre will be in Grant Park Bowling Club and the courses will use the park, neighbouring Cluny Hill, and the quiet streets of Forres town.

Junior courses (12 and under) will remain within the park grounds, but the course for 16+ juniors will have one marshalled road crossing and use the quieter back streets of the town.

The event is associated with the Scottish Junior Inter-Area Relay competition which will also be held within the park and will use the neighbouring Cricket Pavilion for registration and download.

Participants can choose to run down from their relevant Class by entering the NON-Competitive courses numbered 1 to 7.

Sunday: Final SOL of the year.
Roseisle has recently been remapped by Jon Hollingdale and offers a delightful mix of complex contours, dune systems and runnable forest that make Moray a top location for orienteering. A full range of courses including a string-course will be available, with a sociable arena centre where club tents and banners are warmly welcomed.
