Gathering Winter Fools Relay

Gathering Winter Fools 2026

Hi All,

I have booked the Carlton Hall for December the 5th for this years relay, the hall will be open from 8.00am.

As usual, fancy dress or at least Santa Hats as usual is encouraged but not compulsory.

The Gathering Winter Fools Relay is an informal social run (but inevitably some teams will be 'going for it') which uses public paths, trails and roads from Keighley in a circular route. Same route as usual with the last leg (last mile gasp) going up the side of Dalton Lane Mill (the path was open last year but unfortunately there was another arson attack on the mill, Saturday 12th September, but from what I can see, the fire was at the far end of the mill so the path should be unaffected) and across Dalton Lane.

4 Legs, run in pairs, with low level change over points invariably outside a pub!

Route Descriptions, Maps and more details at www.kcac.co.uk/gathering-winter-fools-relay/  - Links to maps, Strava route, route description and GPX file all available for the Dec 2026 race. Please note, whilst the maps and routes are good but I will need to update the route description to change the date of the race.

Max 40 teams - your team members can all be updated later on SiEntries and just needs one person to enter now.

Full race brief sent out about a week before the event.

Various team prizes

Hot/Cold Drinks at start, food provided at the finish. As the pies went down well previously, same again this time but from another different quality supplier as Addie at the Corner Deli couldn't do them this time. Again, please let me know if you require Vegan or Veggie options.

• Start : 9.00
• Leg 2 mass start : 10.30
• Leg 3 mass start : 12.00
• Leg 4 mass start : 12.45

Look forward to seeing you all again.
