Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a group of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT accompanied youngsters under 18 who go for FREE (when accompanied by a paying adult who must be 21+). Juniors aged 16 and above can run/walk alone with parental permission - in this case they need their own individual entry with discretionary discount codes available as below: Individual entrants aged 16-21 are invited to use the discretionary discount code SpunchZoom50. This will provide a 50% discount on the applicable entry fee. Intended for students in full time education or on very low or zero income. Entrants aged 22-25 are invited to use the young adult discount code Spunch25. This will provide a 25% discount on the applicable entry fee intended for young adults just starting out in life with low resources. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants. Spunch! Is a big sporty treasure hunt with a difference - A fun, friendly & safe mini-adventure with a unique & colourful map. Suitable for all ages & abilities - no previous experience required. Locals and newcomers always welcome.
Run or walk. 2k to 22k, the choice is yours! 60, 90 and 120 min course duration options (you can choose on the day itself).
We are delighted to be returning to The Vine in Nantwich for our third Halloween Spooky Spunch Special. Open to all and suitable for all ages. Fancy dress is encouraged but your regular running / walking gear is just fine too. There will be spot prizes for the best turned out! Where possible at least some SpunchPoints will be positioned in "scary locations" (by residential Halloween decorations etc)
Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, Satellite punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch. With over 60 SpunchPoints to go for - how many will you bag?
For runners, walkers, friends & families. Go solo, pair or in a group of 3 or more. We can usually pair you up on the day if you prefer not to go alone. Lots of help available for newbies. Dogs are welcome too, but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
On-site Registration opens at 430m and you can start anytime from 430pm to 7pm. (Last start for 120 min course 6pm, last start for 90 min course 630pm). Mostly in the dark. Sunset about 440pm, dark from about 515pm. Hi-vis & torch required.
Final details and the MapRun courses are usually published to all entrants on the day before the event giving you time to make a route plan!

Our third Halloween visit to the Vine! The venue will provide a warm welcome, with both indoor and sheltered outdoor areas to relax, eat and drink in. With hearty pies & extras available from their PIE MENU including pie n pint for £13.95. Full selection of drinks from the bar. The venue is child & dog friendly.
Parking, Registration, Help, Bag Drop, Loos, Start, Finish, Results, Food & Drink all at or near the venue.
Getting there by car: 15 mins from M6 J16. 25 mins from M6 J15 & J17. Especially convenient for Crewe, Winsford, Middlewich, Holmes Chapel, Sandbach, Alsager, Kidsgrove, Audley, Newcastle, Keele, Loggerheads, Market Drayton, Audlem, Whitchurch, Malpas & Tarporley etc.
Arriving by public transport: A good one to come to by train: Nantwich Train Station (On the Crewe - Whitchurch - Shrewsbury line) is a 5 minute flat 400m walk from the venue.
The Area & Course
Same venue but an adjusted area and a selection of all new Spooky SpunchPoints. A very flattish area, the town enjoys a great a network of paths in the town centre, the riverside, lakeside & canalside parkland and with some magical snicketry in between through attractive residential areas.
Good running / walking on mostly good underfoot conditions*. There will be something for everyone and even locals will likely discover new paths and places!
Hope you will come along and give it a go. *total absence of mud can not be guaranteed!
