**The Scafell Sky Ultra is the Long Distance WMRA Qualifier for the WMRA Championships held in South Africa for 2027 & is also the British Trail Running Middle Distance Championships for 2027**
The Scafell Sky Ultra is already a classic, a technical sky ultra distance trail race played out in the Central and Southern Lakes
63km of mountain terrain and 4400m ascent: Scafell Sky Ultra is played out on technical, single-track trails from start to finish. It’s a Lake District journey that will test the endurance and stamina of experienced and aspiring mountain ultra athletes.
This is the race route to equal the best mountain ultras in the world, right in the heart of the English Lake District
The SCAFELL SKY ULTRA is what you have been waiting for from the Lake District Sky Trails Team. This mountain sky ultra will make your mind, body and soul will for it to continue and stop at the same time.
Building on the Scafell Sky Race and the Helvellyn Sky Ultra, the team at LDST have come up with a corker of a route. In usual style think; A roller coaster of a route, uber technical trails to 'live for', ridge-lines to excite the most excitable of skyrunners, the highest summit in England and to top it all off, a whopping 4400m route profile in just 63km.

Entry requirements
You must be at least 20 years old on race day to enter Scafell Sky Ultra.
[This is due to the race becoming associated with the TRA for 2027 to host the Middle Distance British Trail Running Championships & Long Distance Qualifier for the WMRA Champs in SA for 2027]
