Classified by Skyrunning UK as a "Sky Extra" race in 2018, Lakes Sky Ultra is officially the most extreme mountain running event in England.

57km of Lake District paths, trails and rock with 3700m ascent will test your endurance to the limit - but stamina alone won’t get you to the finish line.
The Rab Helvellyn Sky Ultra is a jewel in the crown of high level technical mountain running. Packed with some of the best and most loved locations in the Central and Eastern Lake District. You will travel over 5 amazing ridge-lines, see Raven's soaring over your head, pass by the famous Red Tarn, travel over the infamous Striding and Swirral Edges, pass numerous 'Tarns' [small bodies of water], view the iconic Lake Windermere, Ullswater and Haweswater, run in some of the wildest country and scenery the Lakes has to offer and be fully supported by our expert event delivery team, both on and off the mountains.
The Rab Helvellyn Sky Ultra is a true Tour de Force of the English Lake District and a race/run route not to miss! Whether you are local, have travelled from somewhere across the UK or flown in from abroad, this epic roller coaster of a route will not disappoint.
