This mountain bike orienteering event will allow you to explore the bridleways and minor roads in the quiet wooded valleys and hills around Milland in the South Downs National Park. On return to the event base, refreshments will be provided and you can compare your route choices with other riders.
The event is open to anyone (age 12+) from experts to those looking for some exercise in the countryside. It's the second of six that make up the SLOW 2025/26 Series. It also counts towards the BMBO National League of 40-50 events.
You’ll be given a marked up OS A3 waterproof map and have 2 or 3 hours to plan your own route and visit as many checkpoints as possible. You can enter as a solo, pair or family team.
To participate you will need the MapRun App on your iPhone or Android phone. A link to download the course will be sent shortly before the event. The PIN code will be given at the start. It's important not to enter the PIN code until you are ready to go as your time will start as soon as you do so.
If you're new to orienteering and don't have a map board you can borrow a basic one to attach to your bike.
