Ultra-Trail Grizedale is a unique two-day trail running challenge in the heart of Grizedale Forest in the Lake District. A weekend of trail running, camping, BBQs, music, outdoor bar and talks. Explore wild footpaths & technical singletrack with punchy climbs, rugged descents & sweeping vistas.
Saturday’s Race - The 8 hour Trail Relay - designed to test both individual endurance and strategy. Runners complete as many laps of the 7km course as possible within the 8 hour window.
Format: Solo / Pairs Relay / Team Relay (3,4 or 5)
Start Time: 10:00am
Course: A scenic, technical, 7km forest loop
Cut-off: Final lap must be started by 6:00pm
Sunday's Race - A challenging 22km Trail Race - run as individuals. If you're in a pair or a team, individual times are combined to create a total pair time and each team member’s time is added to form the team’s overall finishing time.
Format: 11km loop (done twice). Individual best effort (Pairs and Team times are combined)
Start Time: 09:00am
Course: 2 laps of a scenic, technical, 11km forest loop
Cut-off: The 2nd lap must be started by 11:00am
