Event HQ will be based out of Uzzicar parking field. (Grid ref: 217234, w3w ///giraffes.tooth.nobody). Please note this takes you to the parking / HQ entrance. The race will be run under FRA rules, full kit will be required plus a mandatory base layer. The route is partly marked at the summit and has 3 marshal points. The race will head from Stair to the Newlands Valley road, then up to Rowling End, passed Sleet Hause and up to the summit of Causey Pike. The return route descends off Causey, hits the miners path that follows Stoneycroft Gill and returns to Stair.
The parking will be signposted and is most easily approached from Braithwaite rather than Newlands side. Parking is in a local field with a 5 minute walk to the start at a cost of £5 (cash only please) per car. Please do car share if possible.
At the finish the refreshments will be provided by Nav4 including tea, coffee, juice and soup (what more could you want??) but PLEASE bring your own cup!!
Please note that our minimum age is 16 but all U18s need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Maps will be available at race HQ on the day at a cost of £2.
