£15 (£13 for members of Scottish Athletics)
Minimum Age:
All competitors must be at least 16 years of age on the day of the race.
Course:
The course is flat and is on public roads. It starts and finishes at the Ormidale Pavilion in Brodick and follows the main road north along the coast for 5 kilometres, returning the same way. Being flat, P.B.s are a possibility. There are markers at each kilometre.
Prizes:
Prizes will be presented in the standard categories subject to there being sufficient entries in each category, also team (of 3) prize.
Facilities:
Changing facilities, toilets, showers and baggage storage are available at the Ormidale Pavilion. There will be one water station on the course, at 5 kilometres. Catering is widely available at various venues and hostelries in Brodick.
Travel:
Competitors travelling to Arran on the day will need to catch the 0945 ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick (8:40 train from Glasgow Central connects), and can return on the 1640 or 1920 ferries. The Race is run from and to Ormidale Sports Pavilion, approximately 15 minutes walk from Brodick Pier. For further information contact Caledonian McBrayne 01475 650100. The 10:15 ferry from Troon to Brodick ( 9.00 train from Glasgow) will also get runners to the island in time for the race.
