A 5K Fun Run on accessible pathways suitable for all abilities
Get ready to lace up and hit the track for the most exciting new event in the UK, the first ever ‘Heaven Can Wait’ run taking place in the Roman city of Colchester!
A 5K Fun Run through the beautiful and tranquil 67 acre Colchester Cemetery grounds. Opened in 1856 this community asset is home to some of the only examples of species of trees in the whole of Europe and is where over 65,000 loved ones now rest in peace including nearly 400 Commonwealth War Graves as well as a VC winner. With its Victorian headstones, mature trees and landscaped parkland, the environment is a calm and welcoming space for all.
A haven for wildlife, the site will be the perfect setting for the very first ‘Heaven Can Wait’ run in the UK and raising monies for two local charities:
Run for fun, in memory of a loved one or as part of a team to raise vital funds for these two worthwhile charities.

Facilities: Toilets are available in the Crematorium (close to the start line), Portaloos will be stationed half way round the course and toilets are available at the bottom of the Cemetery.
