Adventure Racing Ireland will coordinate a second training day for junior adventure racers in Blessington, Wicklow on Saturday 14th of February 2026.
This training event will be hosted by experienced adventure racer Brian Keogh and is open to any young adventure racers based in Ireland ( from 16 to 25) and will form part of the national selection process for Irish teams to go to the junior world championships taking place in Québec, Canada, from 23–26 July 2026.
Junior athletes under 18 years of age must be accompabied by an adult on the day. This person should be available during the day if required.
This training event will include mountain biking, foot navigation and map reading challenges and other activities. A schedule for the day and recommended kit list is provided below. All attendees should also bring a good packed lunch, termos and other snacks for the day.
Adventure Racing Ireland also invites expressions of interest from young endurance athletes to be considered for selection to represent Ireland at the Junior Adventure Racing World Championship.
