Inverness Orienteering Club welcomes you to Littlemill Forest for a friendly orienteering event.
See here for: More details
Terrain / Planner’s Comments:
Littlemill has a fine mixture of terrain and vegetation including runnable woodland with steep gradients and intricate rides and paths. There are a number of wide marshes and uncrossable lochans which have been used to maximise the opportunities for route choice on the longer courses (please don’t be tempted to try to cross frozen water!). There are a number of new fallen trees, larger groups are marked with thick green.
The area is used by walkers and dog walkers so please be courteous to other users.

We advise competitors to carry a whistle. Six short blasts indicate a competitor in trouble and anyone hearing this is asked to help.
Courses are not suitable for buggies.
Care needs to be taken due to patches of ice and avoid frozen water.
Due to the time of year there may be snow, please dress equipped for cold weather. In the event of bad weather cagoules may be made compulsory, participants will be notified if this is the case.
Courses close at 14:00. It is essential that you report to download after your run (even if you do not complete your course) so we know you are back safely!
