Join us for a coached recce of Bob Graham Leg 2, a flowing but deceptively tough stretch taking in the full Helvellyn ridge. We start from Threlkeld and climb sharply to Clough Head, then follow the rolling Dodds over Great Dodd, Watson’s Dodd, Stybarrow Dodd, moving onto the higher and more exposed ridge line of Helvellyn and Nethermost Pike.
We’ll then continue over Dollywaggon Pike, drop to Grisedale Tarn, and tackle the challenging out-and-back ascent of Fairfield before the final descent of Seat Sandal into Dunmail Raise.
Focus of the Day (Coach’s Notes):
Efficient climbing and energy management on sustained gradients
