Seven Valleys is a 100 mile / 162km circular route on ancient and modern track ways, hidden away from view, that radiate out across the South Pennines like green spokes from a hub.
The Seven Valleys trail connects packhorse tracks, drovers lanes and fast flowing greenways on former railway lines to take you across a beautiful and diverse landscape of heather moorland, steep valley slopes and mill towns that have reinvented themselves.
The valleys we cross and towns / places we visit are:
- Calder Valley - Hebden Bridge
- Ryburn Valley - Ripponden
- Colne Valley - Marsden (outward part of the route)
- Tame Valley - Diggle
- Longdendale Valley - Padfield
- Holme Valley - Meltham
- Colne Valley - Slaithwaite (return part of the route)
- Luddenden Valley - Mount Tabor
Start from Mytholmroyd Community Centre on Sunday from 7am.
Route: 100 miles / 9,400 feet of climbing
