This orienteering event will take place in the beautiful Chiltern woods around the village of Penn for this event.
A range of courses are available. For experienced orienteers, there are courses with a range of lengths offering high navigational challenge. If you are new to orienteering, there are short and medium length courses available. These have less complex navigational challenges and are specifically designed for newcomers to the sport; help and advice will be available.
Newcomers - please note that, if you’re not currently a member of British Orienteering, you won’t be covered by the organisation’s public liability insurance for this event. You’re very welcome to take part, but please be aware that you do so at your own risk. For example, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event, you would not be covered by British Orienteering's insurance.
The longer courses (Brown, Blue, Red, Green, Short Green and Light Green) will run in Common Wood. The Start and Finish is some 1.5km from the car park.
The White, Yellow and Orange courses will be in Penn Wood, with Start and Finish some 400m from the car park.
White, Yellow, Orange and Red courses can be run as a family/small group. A single entry will cover the entire group.
