Country Park with a mix of mature woodland and open fields surrounding Talkin Tarn, near to Brampton. This is the first event of the 2025/26 North West Night League (NWNL) season.
This is a NIGHT orienteering event. Border Liners are also holding a day event on Saturday morning at Talkin Tarn. Make sure you do enter the correct event! NB. Whilst you can enter both events if you wish, entering the day event will make you non-competitive at this night event.

Courses (provisional length)
Blue = 6.0km
Green = 4.0km
Orange = 2.5km
Groups and Pairs / Extra Maps
If you are new to orienteering and would like to go round as a group or in a pair, just enter one person and use the option to select any additional maps that your group would like at £1 each.
Coaching / New to Orienteering
There is no coaching at this event.
Dibber Hire
Available by pre-order at no charge, £30 if not returned. To pre-order, leave the SI number blank during entry process, and then collect dibber from Enquiries/Download on the day.
Start and Finish
Start between 17:30 and 19:00. Start and finish close to enquiries/download. Courses close 20:30.
Facilities
Assembly inside building. Please note that parking at Talkin Tarn does cost before 6pm (see event details for further information on this).

Well behaved dogs on leads.
Entry Cancellation / Change
If you are unable to make the event please let us know via the email address. If we are informed by the closing date we will provide a refund less £1 per person to cover admin costs. Before the closing date you can change your course by editing your entry online, but there will be very limited opportunity to change course on the day as maps will have been printed based on pre-entries.
