This extraordinary route plunges you deep into the heart of the northwest Highlands
At its core lies the legendary Bealach na Bà, the UK’s most iconic and jaw-dropping road climb.
Rising to 626 metres, this epic ascent winds through dramatic switchbacks, rewarding every pedal stroke with breathtaking views. Best of all, the full 11-mile pass will be closed to traffic, giving riders the rare chance to fully immerse themselves in the challenge and majesty of this unforgettable road.
And the adventure doesn’t stop there. The sweeping, and let’s be honest, undulating!! coastal roads hug the shoreline, offering wide-open views over to the Isle of Skye and that unbeatable feeling of wild Scottish freedom.

The Bà Event Series is in its first year under the very excited eye of Scottish endurance rider Jenny Graham. It consists of two events running simultaneously before merging into one - but which one to choose? Both are jaw-droppingly beautiful, extremely challenging and packed full of WOW’s!!
The Bà Sportive (Formally Bealach Mor) has been passed on by friends at Hands on Events who successfully managed this event for 18years.
The Bà Duathlon is Back for 2026!
Both are based out of the little Highland village of Kinlochewe, where locals will welcome you in, and make sure you’re well caffeinated and fed throughout your visit.
We couldn't do this without the support of the local communities along the route so the events are dedicated to “giving back” as a way of thanks, donating to local public facilities and employing local services at every opportunity.
THE BEALACH NA BÀ – CLOSED ROAD
The legendary Bealach Na Bà is yours to enjoy! This iconic climb, linking the remote Applecross peninsula, is closed exclusively for The Bà’s, giving riders a rare chance to soak up its beauty without motor vehicles. It’s all about celebrating the freedom, the views, and the joy of riding one of Scotland’s most breathtaking routes.
Spectators and their cowbells are welcomed!
