28.5Km (17.8 ml) & 1285m (4,215 ft) ascent.
Register at Cartworth Moor Cricket Club, Holmfirth, HD9 2TU (GR 134067), about 1 mile South of Holmfirth.
Minimum age 18. Entry Limit 200.
Start Time: 11am from Grid Ref SE133059, about half a mile from Registration. Finish at Registration.

This is a challenging category AL fell race suitable only for experienced fell runners. Navigation skills are essential and FRA safety requirements are mandatory.

Runners should be capable of completing the course in 5 hours 30 minutes. There will be cut-offs at Holme Moss (12:15), Crowden (13:00), Bareholme (13:35), Laddow Rocks (14:10) and on the return to Holme Moss (15:15), where marshals’ instructions must be obeyed. The sweepers will leave at 11.05 am. No one is allowed to start after this time.
Water Stations: Runners must bring their own cups/containers to obtain water at the drink stations.
Food (Sandwich & cake) and drink after the event, free to all runners. Spectators can have free cake and drink in return for a donation to Mountain Rescue.
Prizes will be awarded to the first 10 men, the first 5 women and each 5-year veteran age categories, plus the under 23 category. 1 prize maximum per person, unless winning the male or female team prize (based on the first 3 positions from each team). To enable runners to get away as soon as possible after they have finished (if they wish), we will have more than one presentation to accommodate different finish times for each age category.
Holme Valley Mountain Rescue will be providing safety cover for the race. We will be organising a raffle in aid of the team funds, to be drawn during the race. Please buy a £1 ticket before the race.
