Courses can be completed solo, in a pair, or as a team of 3 or more BUT each participant needs to put in an individual entry. Minimum age 14. This is a navigation score event using an OS Explorer map (1:12 500) based in and around Grasmere.
You can choose from 1, 2 or 3 hour course options and will have this amount of time to visit as many checkpoints as you can – collecting points as you go using the MapRun app on your smartphone.
The course options use the network of public footpaths and bridleways within the valley and fells surrounding Grasmere.
You can run, jog or walk the courses which are accessible for all abilities. If you have never tried a navigation event before – this is a great place to start!
No dogs allowed.
There is some parking at the village hall, this is pay on entry via the RingGo app. All parking fees go towards the upkeep of the hall. There is additional parking in Broadgate Meadow car park behind the hall (What3Words ///mothering.replayed.chats). This is also pay and display.
Toilets are at registration.

Rolling starts from 10-12pm. Courses close at 2pm. *If you want to complete the 3 hour course, you will need to start by 11am.
