Courses can be completed solo, in a pair, or as a team of 3 or more BUT each participant needs to put in an individual entry. Minimum age 14. This is a navigation score event using an OS Explorer map (1:12 500) based in and around St John’s Chapel, Weardale. 50 minutes from Durham, 1 hour from Newcastle, 1 hour from Darlington, 1 hour from Penrith.
You can choose from 60, 90 or 120 minute course options and will have this amount of time to visit as many checkpoints as you can – collecting points as you go using the MapRun app on your smartphone.
The course options use the network of public rights of way and open access land. You can run, jog or walk the courses which are accessible for all abilities. If you have never tried a navigation event before – this is a great place to start!
No dogs allowed.
Parking is in the village and along the road to the east of the village. Please remember to park responsibly and show consideration for the residents.

Registration will be open from 10am
Starts are anytime between 10am - 12pm. Courses close at 2pm.
Cake and a hot drink are included in the entry fee and will be available at the finish for that all important map and route debrief!
